Fes to Marrakech excursion, 4 days. In just a few days, this desert journey provides an amazing chance to see several of Morocco’s most stunning locations. The trip starts in Fes with a visit to the stunning Cedars Forest and Ifrane, which is sometimes called the Switzerland of Morocco. You will reach the Sahara Desert of Merzouga following a picturesque drive along the Ziz River and a lunch halt in Midelt. In the middle of the Sahara, you may take a camel ride across the golden dunes, stay the night in an opulent desert camp, and see breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.
The journey continues with a 4×4 desert excursion, stops at the fossil-rich village of Erfoud, and the traditional Rissani market. In addition, you will see the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and the breathtaking Todra and Dades Gorges. Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert [477 km]
Your 4-day journey from Fes to Marrakech begins with an early pick-up from your accommodation. Head south through the scenic landscapes of Imouzzer to reach **Ifrane**, famously known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its snowy winters and charming Alpine-style architecture. Next, visit the Cedar Forest in Azrou, home to playful Barbary macaques. Stroll among the ancient trees and enjoy interacting with these friendly primates. Continue to Midelt, where a delicious local lunch awaits, before traveling through the dramatic Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass and along the picturesque Ziz River.Arrive at the Sahara Desert of Merzouga, where camels will take you on a magical journey across the golden dunes.
