Fes to Marrakech excursion, 3 days. You’ll get the opportunity to see a lot of things in a short amount of time during your trip. The tour starts in Fes and includes stops at the stunning Cedars Forest and Ifrane, sometimes referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco. You will travel down the picturesque Ziz River after stopping for lunch in Midelt, and then you will arrive in Merzouga, which is the breathtaking Sahara Desert. Here, you may ride camels, camp in the desert beneath the stars, and take in breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The journey also includes stops at the fossil town of Erfoud and the typical market in Rissani. After that, you will visit the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the scenic Dades Gorges, and the spectacular Todra Gorges. When you reach Marrakech after traversing the Tizi-n-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains, the trip comes to an end.

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert (465 km)

Your desert adventure begins with an early pickup from your accommodation in Fes. We’ll journey south through the charming town of Imouzzer, arriving in Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its cool climate and alpine-style architecture. Continue your exploration through the Cedars Forest in Azrou, where you’ll have the chance to interact with the friendly Barbary macaques.

The journey continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains, with a break for a traditional Moroccan lunch in Midelt. Afterward, we’ll drive through the scenic Ziz Valley, filled with palm-covered oases, before reaching the enchanting Merzouga Desert. Swap your vehicle for camels and embark on a thrilling trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, watch the magical transformation of the desert landscape from atop a high dune. End your day with a night under the stars at a traditional Berber camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner and lively music around a campfire.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley (302 km)

Rise early to catch the breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara Desert, a moment that will stay with you forever. After breakfast, ride your camel back to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting. Our journey continues to Rissani, the historic capital of Tafilalet, known for its vibrant market, especially on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Next, we’ll visit the fossil workshops in Erfoud, a town famous for its rich deposits of fossilized marble. Continue to the Todra Gorge, where towering cliffs create a rock climber’s paradise. After a leisurely lunch in the gorge, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations, including the famous Monkey Fingers. We’ll end the day at a charming hotel in the valley, where you can relax and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech (330 km)

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll depart for Kalaa Magouna to explore the Rose Valley, which hosts the Rose Festival every May. Continue through the lush palm groves of Skoura, eventually reaching Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” Here, we’ll visit the world-famous film studios, where films such as *Gladiator* and *The Mummy* were filmed.

Next, we’ll explore the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been featured in numerous films and TV series, including *Game of Thrones*. After exploring this ancient fortified village, we’ll drive through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the stunning Tizi-n-Tichka pass. We’ll stop along the way for lunch and take in the breathtaking views. The tour concludes with your arrival in Marrakech, where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation or the airport.
