Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Zagora [350 km]

Your 2-day journey starts with a morning pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Travel through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, which offers stunning views of traditional Berber villages and the valleys below. Stop for photos and short walks along the way to fully appreciate the landscape.

Arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its iconic kasbahs and impressive architecture. Take time to explore this ancient fortified village, which has appeared in numerous films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

Afterward, continue your journey south towards Zagora, passing through the scenic Draa Valley, a region filled with palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and remote villages.

Arrive in Zagora in the late afternoon and take a short camel ride to your desert camp. As the sun sets, enjoy a traditional Berber dinner under the stars. Spend the night in the desert camp, surrounded by the peaceful silence of the Sahara.

Day 2: Zagora – Draa Valley – Marrakech [350 km]

Wake up early to witness the mesmerizing Sahara sunrise over the dunes. After a traditional breakfast at the camp, take a camel ride back to Zagora.

Begin your return journey to Marrakech, driving through the Draa Valley and stopping at various kasbahs and picturesque spots along the way. Enjoy the lush palm groves and scenic beauty of the valley as you make your way back.

In the late afternoon, travel back through the High Atlas Mountains, making a final stop for photos of the rugged terrain before arriving in Marrakech by evening.
